Along the way, we shall make a delightful stop at Chuzom, the enchanting confluence of the Thimphu (Wang Chhu) and Paro (Pa Chhu) rivers. Here, your eyes shall feast upon the sight of three resplendent Stupas, each crafted in the exquisite styles of Bhutanese, Tibetan, and Nepalese artistry.

After arriving in the regal city of Thimphu, you shall be ushered into the embrace of a luxurious hotel, where you shall find respite and tranquility. The evening shall be yours to indulge in leisurely pursuits, as you immerse yourself in the opulence of your surroundings. Rest assured, a restful night awaits you at the hotel, ensuring that you awaken refreshed and ready to embark upon the wonders that lie ahead in Thimphu.

Day 02: Exploring the Splendors of Thimphu

Indulge in a delectable breakfast before embarking on a captivating journey through the enchanting city of Thimphu. Prepare to be mesmerized as you delve into the rich cultural tapestry of this remarkable destination.

Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Kuensel Phodrang, where the colossal Buddha Dordenma Statue majestically stands atop a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Thimphu Town. Allow yourself to be captivated by the sheer magnificence of this iconic landmark.

Next, we will pay homage to the revered National Memorial Chorten, a sacred Stupa constructed in 1974 to honor the esteemed third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. As you witness the devout locals circumambulating the Chorten, offering heartfelt prayers, you will be immersed in the profound spirituality that permeates the air.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant Bhutanese culture as we visit the Folk Heritage Museum, a traditional house that provides a fascinating glimpse into the daily lives and cherished artifacts of rural households. Gain a deeper understanding of the Bhutanese way of life as you explore this captivating museum.

Our journey continues to the ancient Changangkha Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Thimphu. As you step foot into this sacred sanctuary, feel the weight of history and spirituality envelop you, transporting you to a bygone era.

To truly appreciate the natural wonders of Bhutan, we will visit the Motithang Takin Reserve, a sanctuary dedicated to the preservation of the national animal of Bhutan, the Takin. Marvel at these majestic creatures as they roam freely in their natural habitat, a testament to Bhutan's commitment to conservation.

As the sun begins to set, we will conclude our day with a visit to the magnificent Tashichho Dzong, the Fortress of the Glorious Religion. This grand fortress not only houses various ministries and His Majesty's secretariat but also serves as the spiritual center for the central monk body. Allow yourself to be enchanted by the architectural splendor and the serene ambiance that permeates this sacred site.

After a day filled with awe-inspiring sights and cultural immersion, retreat to the comfort of your luxurious hotel in Thimphu. Rest assured, tomorrow holds even more extraordinary experiences as we continue our exploration of this captivating city.

Day 03: Thimphu - Paro Excursion

After a delicious breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to the picturesque town of Paro. Along the way, stop at the Tamchog Lhakhang, a historic temple with a fascinating legend behind it. Continue your journey to Paro, soaking in the stunning landscapes and traditional Bhutanese architecture. Upon reaching Paro, visit the Ta Dzong, a former watchtower transformed into a museum showcasing Bhutanese art and artifacts. Explore the Paro Rimpung Dzong, a grand fortress overlooking the Paro valley, and take a leisurely walk across the Nemi Zam Bridge, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan with a serene atmosphere. After a day of sightseeing, relax and unwind at your hotel in Paro, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of this charming town.

Day 04: Paro Exploration

Indulge in a delightful breakfast before embarking on a journey to the mystical Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest. Nestled at an elevation of 3100m in the serene Upper Paro Valley of Bhutan, this sacred site is believed to be the abode of gods and monks. Legend has it that Guru Rinpoche, the revered saint, arrived here riding on the back of a tigress and engaged in deep meditation. The trek to the Monastery is a challenging yet rewarding experience, taking approximately 5 - 6 hours to complete. Due to the steep terrain and strenuous stairs, it is advisable to avoid taking this hike with young children and elderly individuals. Retreat to the comfort of your hotel in Paro for a peaceful overnight stay.

Following breakfast, you will be escorted to Paro Airport to commence your journey back. Tashi Delek!

Important Notes:

To access the beautiful country of Bhutan, one must arrive either by air or by road. When traveling by air, one can choose between the two airlines that operate in Bhutan - Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines. The only International Airport in Bhutan is located in Paro. Direct flights to Paro are available from various cities in India such as Kolkata, New Delhi, Guwahati, Gaya, and Bagdogra. For those coming from other cities, a connecting flight to Paro from one of the aforementioned cities is necessary.

If road travel is preferred, there are three border points through which entry into Bhutan is possible. Phuentsholing connects with Jaigaon on the Indian side in the state of West Bengal, with nearby Indian towns including Hasimara, Alipurdwar, Jalpaiguri, and Siliguri. The closest airport to Phuentsholing is Bagdogra Airport, where our representative will be waiting to greet you upon arrival.

Gelephu links with Dadgiri on the Indian side in the state of Assam, approximately a 6-hour drive from Guwahati. Samdrup Jongkhar connects with Darangamela on the Indian side in the state of Assam, about a two and a half hour drive from Guwahati.

Unfortunately, Bhutan does not have a direct rail link. To reach Bhutan by rail, guests must enter through one of the aforementioned border points. The nearest railway stations to these border points are as follows:

- Phuentsholing: Hasimara (25 Kms), Alipurduar (60 Kms), New Jalpaiguri (165 Kms).
- Gelephu: New Bongaigaon (60 Kms), Assam.
- Samdrup Jongkhar: Guwahati (110 Kms), Assam.
