Day 07: Lucerne - Zurich - Rhine Falls
After enjoying your breakfast, proceed to check out from the hotel and head to the train station to catch your train to Zurich. Once you arrive in Zurich, you can proceed to check-in at your hotel. Later on, you can board a train to Schaffhausen. The journey from Schaffhausen to the Rhine Falls takes approximately 15 minutes by public transport, and the best part is that it is free with your Swiss Pass. The Rhine Falls, which is the largest waterfall in Europe, stands at an impressive height of 75 feet (23 m) and spans 490 feet (150 m) in width. Unlike the waterfalls in the mountainous regions, the Rhine Falls offer a unique and dramatic series of cascades, making it one of the most popular attractions in Switzerland. It is highly recommended to visit the falls during early summer, as they are at their fullest due to the melting mountain snows. In the evening, return back to Zurich. We suggest taking a leisurely walk along the beautiful Lake Zurich, exploring the various malls and stores along the promenade, or even considering a half-day trip to the Alpamare water park, which remains open until late.
Day 08: Take Train to Zurich Airport - Departure
On the eighth day of your trip, wake up early to catch the sunrise over the picturesque Swiss Alps one last time before packing up your belongings and checking out of your cozy hotel. Take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of the town, soaking in the last bit of Swiss culture before heading to the train station with your Swiss Pass in hand.
