Day Wise Itinerary:

Day 1: Chennai Arrival - Transfer to Ooty

Upon arrival at Chennai airport or railway station, you will be greeted by our representative. From there, you will be transferred to Ooty, which is approximately 555 kilometers away and takes around 12 hours to reach. During the journey, you will pass through the scenic forests of Bandipur National Park and the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. This will provide you with a mini wildlife safari experience, where you may spot deers, monkeys, langurs, peacocks, and elephants. The drive itself is a treat, as you will be surrounded by lush dense forests, tall pine trees, and picturesque tea estates. Once you reach Ooty, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 2: Full Day Ooty Sightseeing - Lakes & Valleys

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Ooty. Begin your journey by visiting the breathtaking Avalanche Lake, located 26 kilometres away from Ooty. Day 8: Full-day exploration of Pondicherry - City

Commence your day with a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Pondicherry.

Begin by visiting the Pondicherry Museum, which houses a remarkable collection of rare bronzes and stone sculptures from the Pallava and Chola dynasties, as well as artifacts unearthed from Arikamedu.

Next, proceed to the Jawahar Toy Museum, where you will find an exquisite assortment of intricately adorned dolls and toys representing various regions and cultures of India. These dolls and toys have been gathered from different states across the country and are adorned in the traditional attire of their respective regions.

Conclude your day by visiting the Aurobindo Ashram, established by Sri Aurobindo and Mirra Alfassa. This spiritual center also serves as the final resting place (Samadhi) of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Within the ashram premises, you will discover a library, printing press, playground, art gallery, dispensary/nursing home, dairy, farms, and guest houses.

The Old Lighthouse is renowned for offering a magnificent aerial view of the tranquil city of Pondicherry. Situated within the city limits of Puducherry, it stands adjacent to the famous Gandhi statue. Its purposeful construction was intended to guide mariners during nighttime landings.

With its timeless grandeur, the Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple was built three centuries ago. The temple's name derives from the Tamil words 'Manal' meaning sand and 'Kulam' meaning pond near the sea, as it was originally surrounded by sand. Consequently, the deity came to be known as Manal Kulathu Vinayagar, signifying 'God near the pond of sand'.

Known by various names such as Rock Beach, Gandhi Beach, and Promenade Beach, this shoreline is a popular attraction. Its moniker, Pondicherry Beach, is due to its close proximity to the city. The presence of rocks along the beach adds to its distinctive charm, while the statue of Mahatma Gandhi further enhances its significance.

After visiting the Botanical Gardens, you can continue your exploration by visiting the Auroville Matrimandir. The Matrimandir, also known as the Temple of The Mother, holds great spiritual importance for those practicing Integral yoga. It is located at the heart of Auroville, a community founded by The Mother of the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The Matrimandir is often referred to as the soul of the city and is surrounded by a spacious area known as Peace. Once you have finished your visit, you can then proceed to your hotel in Pondicherry for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Travel from Pondicherry to Chennai with a visit to Mahabalipuram

After enjoying breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Mahabalipuram for sightseeing.

One of the highlights of Mahabalipuram is the Shore Temple, located about 2 hours away. It gets its name from its location overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Built by the Pallavas in the 8th Century AD, this temple has a pyramidal structure that stands 60 ft tall and is constructed on a 50 ft square platform.

Another must-visit site in Mahabalipuram is Arjuna's Penance, which is just half a kilometer away. Also known as the Descent of the Ganges, this magnificent monolith dates back to the 7th century and measures 96 ft in length and 43 ft in height. There are several interesting interpretations associated with this historic site.

After visiting the Pancha Rathas (Five Chariots), which are five impressive pyramidal structures named after the Pandavas (Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishtra, Nakula, and Sahadeva) and Draupadi, continue your journey towards Chennai. Day 10: Departure From Chennai

On the tenth day, we will commence our journey from Chennai. Following breakfast, we will proceed to the airport or railway station to catch our scheduled flight or train, in accordance with the designated time or the hotel's check-out time. With cherished memories, the tour concludes.

7. There will be no refund in case any of the sightseeing is missed or uncovered during the trip.

10. The price is based on the "Base" category of hotel room, airline seats, and ferry seats. This is irrespective of the package category chosen.
