After enjoying a delicious breakfast, our first stop will be Assi Ghat, a remarkable location to witness the breathtaking sunrise. From there, we will embark on a boat journey towards Dashashwamedh Ghat, followed by a visit to the renowned Kashi Vishwanath Temple for the enlightening Jyotirlinga Darshan. Within walking distance from Vishwanath Temple, you will find the Annapurna Temple, a sacred place dedicated to the goddess Annapurna. This temple houses an idol of the goddess, intricately carved in the 18th century, which had traversed the seas and returned to Varanasi.

Next, we will explore one of the oldest Shiva temples in Varanasi, the Kaal Bhairav Temple. Additionally, we will visit the Durga Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, showcasing its magnificent multi-tiered shikhara and remarkable North Indian Nagara architectural design. Don't miss out on the Tulsi Manas Temple, offering a splendid view of the city and holding significant historical value in Hinduism.

Lastly, we will visit the Sankat Mochan Temple, a sacred shrine dedicated to the Hindu God Hanuman. Founded in the 16th century, this temple stands as one of the oldest Hindu temples in Varanasi and is a must-see for its spiritual significance.

We will also have the opportunity to explore the Birla Temple, a contemporary temple situated within the premises of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. While at BHU, we will also have the chance to visit Bharat Kala Bhavan, the university museum that showcases significant cultural and historical artifacts related to the art and culture of India. Following this, we will proceed to the Bharat Mata temple, located within the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. This unique temple features a marble carving of the map of undivided India instead of traditional idols and is dedicated to Bharat Mata, or "Mother India." After enjoying a delicious lunch, we will head to Sarnath, a quaint village situated approximately 10 km away from the sacred city. Sarnath is renowned as the place where Gautama Buddha delivered his first teachings on the Dharma. Today, it is adorned with Buddhist monuments and archaeological sites, including the Sarnath Museum and a serene Buddha Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Finally, we will return to Varanasi for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Transfer from Varanasi to Prayagraj – Triveni Sangam (Confluence of River Ganga, Yamuna & Saraswati)

Following an early morning meal, we will embark on a journey to Prayagraj at 8 am, reaching our destination in approximately three hours. En route, we will make a stop at Vindhyachal Temple, a sacred site where, according to the Markandey Purana, Maa Durga is believed to have manifested and vanquished the demon Mahishasur. The holy river Ganga also flows through this pilgrimage destination. Upon arrival in Prayagraj, we will proceed with the check-in process at the hotel before commencing our exploration of the city. Our itinerary includes visits to various notable locations, beginning with Sangam Sthal, the confluence site. We will then proceed to Anand Bhawan, a historic house museum that holds significance for the Nehru family. Next, we will visit Chandrashekhar Azad Park, a picturesque public park established in 1870 to commemorate Prince Alfred's visit to the city. This park stands as the largest in Prayagraj. Lastly, we will explore Akshayavata, a revered spot in Prayagraj known for its association with the sacred fig tree from mythology.

Prayagraj, also known as Prayag or Teerthraj, holds a significant place as one of India's holy cities. It serves as an ideal day trip destination from Varanasi. The city's rich history and mythological tales often mention it as a sacred pilgrimage center, where the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet at the confluence called Sangam. This sacred site hosts the Magha fairs and attracts pilgrims from all over the world. Every 12 years, the grand Kumbh Fair takes place, drawing devotees from far and wide, making it the largest congregation of its kind globally. Among the notable temples in Prayagraj is the revered Patalpuri Temple, believed to be the holiest in the city. It is said that Lord Rama and the renowned Chinese traveler and writer, Hiuen Tsang, have visited this sacred place. Another popular temple worth visiting is the Mankameshwar Temple, situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. Nature enthusiasts will find solace in Minto Park, located nearby. After a satisfying dinner, we will enjoy an overnight stay at a hotel in Prayagraj.

Day 4: Excursion to Chitrakoot - The Enchanting Hill of Marvels

Following an early morning meal, we embark on a day excursion to Chitrakoot, which is a three-hour drive away from Prayagraj. Renowned as "the hills of many wonders," this captivating region has been immortalized in various literary works and artistic mediums. From ancient ballads to revered religious scriptures, Chitrakoot continues to allure both pilgrims and tourists alike, with its profound connections to the epic Ramayana. Our first stop is Kamadgiri, a revered hill enveloped by lush forests, where we will explore the Kamadgiri Temple and other sacred shrines. We will then proceed to Ram Ghat, a popular site believed to be the place where Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, and Lord Laxman engaged in a conversation with Saint Goswami Tulsidas during their 12-year exile. Lastly, we will visit the exquisite Hanuman Dhara, where you can bask in the serene ambiance while listening to the gentle melody of the spring cascading down Lord Hanuman's statue.

Janki Kund, situated in close proximity to Ram Ghat, offers a picturesque view of the Chitrakoot reservoir, which is located on the banks of the Mandakini River. One cannot afford to miss the unique Ram Darshan, where worship and offerings are prohibited, but instead imparts significant moral lessons to both visitors and devotees. Ganesh Bagh, dedicated to Lord Shiva, will captivate you with its splendid architecture, particularly the seven-storey baoli. Before concluding our visit, we will explore Gupta Godavari, where the river is believed to be the hidden form of River Godavari, who came secretly with the desire to catch a glimpse of Lord Rama. This place is a natural wonder as the small rivulet serves as the source of water for the underground cave temple's tanks. It is believed that the two stone-carved thrones in the temple were where Lord Rama and Lord Lakshmana sat. Finally, we will return to Prayagraj for dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5: Prayagraj to Ayodhya Transfer and Local Sightseeing

Start your day with an early breakfast before we proceed to check-out and make our way to Ayodhya. Upon arrival, we will check-in and embark on an exciting sightseeing tour of the city.

Ayodhya, also known as Saketa, is an ancient city that holds great significance. It is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama and serves as the main setting for the epic Ramayana. The city is filled with archaeological wonders and has a rich historical background, having once been the capital city of Awadh.

Our first stop will be the Ram Janmabhoomi, which translates to "Rama's Birthplace." This site used to house an ancient temple that was unfortunately destroyed in 1528. However, some remnants, including well-preserved columns, can still be seen today. It is a place of immense religious and historical importance.

Next, we will visit Kanak Bhawan, located northeast of Ram Janmabhoomi. This temple is considered one of the finest in Ayodhya and is known for its aesthetically pleasing architecture. It is a must-visit for its beauty and spiritual significance.

Our final destination will be Hanuman Garhi, one of the most popular temples in Ayodhya. Built in the 10th century, this temple holds great reverence among devotees. Along with Nageshwar Nath and the under-construction Ram Temple, it forms the cornerstone of the temple complex.

Get ready to explore the wonders of Ayodhya and immerse yourself in its rich history and spirituality.

Lakshman Kila is an unmissable temple situated in Terhi Bazar. Another renowned attraction in Ayodhya is Sarayu River Ghat, which holds significance as the river where Lord Rama is believed to have taken Jal Samadhi. According to legend, the Seventh Avatar of Vishnu walked into the depths of the Sarayu River and disappeared.

After exploring the city all day, we take pleasure in having dinner and then retire to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
