Should you find yourself with leisure time, we encourage you to explore the city and its wonders before returning to your hotel for a restful overnight stay in Riyadh.

Day 2: Riyadh Historical Tour

Start your day with a delightful breakfast buffet at the hotel before embarking on a captivating historical tour in Riyadh. Our journey will take us to the renowned King Abdulaziz Historical Center, a significant landmark inaugurated in 1999 by King Fahd.

Our first stop will be the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, situated in the Al Murabba neighborhood. This museum offers a fascinating insight into the rich history of the land, spanning hundreds of years. Explore the exhibits that showcase the evolution of politics, as well as the vibrant culture of this region. Marvel at the Neolithic rock art and marvelously crafted replicas of ancient Jeddah's architectural wonders. The museum boasts eight main halls, each offering a unique perspective on the history of Saudi Arabia. These include the Hall of Man and the Universe, Arab Kingdoms, Pre-Islamic Era, Prophet's Mission, First Saudi State, Unification of the Kingdom Hall, and the Hall of Hajj and Two Holy Mosques.

Immerse yourself in the captivating stories and heritage of Riyadh as we delve into its historical treasures.

King Abdulaziz’s Historical Park is located outside the museum and is part of a larger complex of municipal parks and gardens. It offers a beautiful setting to relax and spend time with family and friends, as well as a great opportunity to take outdoor photographs. Additionally, it is conveniently situated on the way to the Hall of King Abdulaziz, which now serves as a showroom for the King's vintage cars.

Continuing our journey, we will come across the Murabba Palace, another section of the avenue. This magnificent palace was completed in 1938 and was one of the first buildings constructed outside the walls of the old city of Riyadh. King Abdulaziz himself played a direct role in its construction. The Murabba Palace became the new residence for the King and one of his wives, Hussa bint Ahmed Al Sudairi, after they moved out of their former court, Masmak fort.

Leaving the palace behind, we will make our way to Souq Dira, a traditional shopping center that is popular among both locals and tourists. Here, you can find a wide range of products at affordable prices. Souq Dira is particularly renowned for its colorful fabrics of various qualities and colors, and it is also famous for its Deerah Gold Souq, which specializes in gold. As you explore the market, you may catch a whiff of sandalwood and witness the lively atmosphere of people bargaining for their desired items, including antique carpets.

After an enjoyable shopping experience, we will visit the Al Masmak, or Masmak Fort, which was once the royal abode of King Abdulaziz. This historic building has been transformed into a museum that showcases numerous heritage items, antique scrolls, and documents from that era, such as maps and photographs. Among the displayed artifacts and artworks is the King's spearhead, which remains embedded in the fort's wooden gate. Don't miss the opportunity to watch a documentary that re-enacts the King's capture of this fortress.

To conclude our day, we will return to the hotel for dinner and spend the night in Riyadh.

Day 3: Riyadh City Tour (4 hrs)

Following breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a comprehensive city tour of Riyadh, spanning a duration of four hours. Our first stop will be the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, a prestigious establishment inaugurated in 1999 by King Fahd.

Our journey commences at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, situated in the Al Murabba neighborhood. This museum offers a captivating insight into the rich history of the land, spanning centuries. From the evolution of politics to the cultural heritage of this region, visitors can immerse themselves in the exhibits showcasing Neolithic rock art and replicas of ancient Jeddah's architectural marvels. The museum boasts eight main halls, each dedicated to a specific theme, including the Hall of Man and the Universe, Arab Kingdoms, Pre-Islamic Era, Prophet's Mission, First Saudi State, Unification of the Kingdom Hall, and the Hall of Hajj and Two Holy Mosques.

Adjacent to the museum, we will explore the Murabba Palace, an awe-inspiring complex. This grand palace, completed in 1938, served as the Square Palace and was one of the first structures constructed outside the walls of the old city of Riyadh. King Abdulaziz himself played a significant role in its development. The Murabba Palace became the new royal residence for King Abdulaziz and his wife, Hussa bint Ahmed Al Sudairi, after they relocated from their former court at the Masmak fort.

Upon concluding our exploration of this remarkable area, we will return to the hotel for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay in Riyadh.

Day 4: Riyadh to Al Ula Flight and Madan Saleh Tour

When it is time for your departure, you will be taken to the airport. Throughout the process, your tour leader/driver will be there to assist you.

Embark on a journey to Hegra, an ancient city renowned for its numerous monumental tombs belonging to the Nabataean elite. These tombs, carved from rock formations, date back to the 1st century BC. After remaining untouched for over 2000 years, the location has now become an archaeological site. It has recently opened as a tourist destination and is known as Madain Shaleh or Al-Hijr (Shalih City), the sister city of Petra. This area continues to be researched by experts and archaeologists, as the Nabataeans were a mysterious ancient civilization of nomads-turned-master merchants. Additionally, this archaeological site holds the distinction of being Saudi Arabia's first World Heritage inscribed property. While Petra may be more well-known due to its longer history of tourism, Hegra is the largest and best-preserved site of the Nabataeans. During your tour, a local guide will accompany you and share all the knowledge we have gathered so far with a small group.

Day 5: Dadan and Jabal Ikmah Tour

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before embarking on a journey to Dadan, a historically significant site in AlUla. Dadan was once the capital of the Dadan and Lihyan Kingdoms, and its stone houses and ancient artifacts dating back to the 9th century BCE provide valuable insights into the culture of the ancient Saudi Kingdom. This archaeological treasure has revealed the advanced technological capabilities of the northern Arabian region. As you explore the city, you will come across tombs carved into the cliffs, known as the Lion Tombs, adorned with impressive lion sculptures. These tombs, carved without the aid of modern construction equipment, stand at an impressive height of 50 meters above ground level.

After immersing yourself in the wonders of Dadan, we will continue our journey to Jabal Ikmah, a mountain located just a few kilometers away from AlUla. Jabal Ikmah is a testament to the preservation of knowledge in AlUla, with over 450 Arabic inscriptions carved into the cliffs. One of these inscriptions dates back to the year 644, offering a glimpse into the past. This unique "open library" has become a focal point for those interested in learning about the Lihyanite civilization, as it holds great sacred significance for them.

After exploring these remarkable sites, we will return to AlUla and safely transport you back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Al Ula to Jeddah Flight + Jeddah Historical Tour

Our journey begins with a visit to Al-Balad, the historic downtown area of Jeddah, also known as the Old Town of Jeddah. Founded in the 7th century, Al-Balad is Saudi Arabia's second largest city and is situated on the eastern shore, overlooking the Red Sea. This port city served as the financial center of Jeddah and a stopping point for pilgrims, travelers heading to Mecca, and merchants. The name "Al-Balad" translates to "Old Town," and it truly lives up to its name with its impressive ancient architecture, old streets, and narrow alleyways that transport you back in time. Many of the buildings in Al-Balad are over 500 years old and are part of the Saudi Ministry of Culture's preservation project. As we navigate through the maze-like streets, our knowledgeable guide will point out the numerous landmarks of historical significance. One such landmark is the Nassif House Museum, originally a grand mansion owned by Omar Nasseef Efendi, the governor of Jeddah in the late 1800s. This museum, also known as "The House with the Tree," gets its name from the neem tree that once stood in the square, making it the only tree in Jeddah until the 1920s. Our next stop is the Mecca Gate, a majestic three-arched gateway that holds great historical and religious importance. This iconic monument, designed by Dia Aziz Dia and architect Samir Elabd in 1979, attracts a multitude of visitors and believers who come for Haj or Umra. It is also referred to as the Qur'an Gate and serves as the boundary beyond which non-Muslims are not allowed to enter. Lastly, we will explore Bab Jadeed, also known as the historical north gate of Jeddah. Situated in the northwest part of the city, this gate is one of the many magnificent gates that adorn Jeddah.

During the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid in 1899, a remarkable structure was constructed. Similar to the Mecca Gate, we will pause momentarily to capture photographs before continuing our exploration of the Old Town. Our journey will take us to various distinct stores, where we can appreciate the traditional architecture of the historic buildings and uncover hidden treasures not commonly found in guidebooks. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to savor the unique local cuisine of Jeddah. Following this, we will visit the renowned Al Shafi Mosque, also known as "the ancient mosque" of Jeddah. This mosque, named after Imam Muhammad ibn Idris Al-Shafi'I, who was born in 767, was initially built by Abd al-Rahman Katkhuda in 1762 and later restored in 1892. Its historical significance as a witness to the early Islamic era has earned it a place on the UNESCO list, and it is open to the public for exploration, allowing visitors to discover the hidden aspects of this historically significant structure. Our next destination is the Al Tayebat International City Museum, an impressive complex consisting of multiple buildings. Within its walls, one can find a vast collection of artifacts, replicas, and information detailing the history, culture, and architecture of Saudi Arabia. This museum serves as a comprehensive resource for learning about the heritage and iconic landmarks of the city, shedding light on how these structures have become integral to its history. The museum also showcases ancient artifacts, delicate manuscripts, and everyday objects that offer insights into the lives of people from ancient times. Lastly, we will proceed to the New Jeddah Corniche, situated along the Red Sea. This resort area spans over 30 kilometers and serves as a recreational space adjacent to the sea. The New Corniche is an extension of the main Jeddah corniche, located near the city's waterfront. It is a popular destination for families with children and young individuals seeking a breath of fresh air by the sea. Take the opportunity to indulge in more leisure activities and capture even more memorable photographs in this picturesque setting.

On the seventh day, you will be escorted to the airport for your onward journey from Jeddah. Tour Ends With Sweet Memories.
