Day Wise Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Dehradun

(Arrival – Check-In – Orientation)
Dehradun serves as both the commencement and conclusion of the journey. Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a complimentary overnight stay. Transportation will be arranged from the Airport or Railway station based on the guests’ arrival times, with a recommendation to arrive by 2:00 PM or earlier. In the evening, our staff will conduct an orientation session regarding the tour, and guests will be provided with duffel bags for their luggage for the upcoming journey. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at Dehradun.

Day 02: Yamunotri Dham

Sahastradhara to Kharsali (Yamunotri) Flight Duration: 35-45 Minutes.

This marks the official commencement of the Chardham yatra. Guests are required to be ready for checkout at the designated time. Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the Sahastradhara Helidrome. Kharsali serves as the helibase for Yamunotri Dham, where our ground team will be prepared to greet you. The crew will assist you in reaching the hotel, which is within walking distance. Breakfast will be provided either at the Dehradun hotel or at the Kharsali hotel. Following this, you will proceed for the Yamunotri Darshan. The estimated duration for the round trip to the Yamunotri Temple is approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, with a one-way trek of 6 kilometers. While in Kharsali, you can enjoy sightseeing at the Hot Spring near the Yamunotri Temple, the Yamuna Mata Temple, and the Shani Temple. Dinner and an overnight stay will be arranged at Kharsali.

Day 03: Gangotri Dham

Kharsali (Yamunotri) to Harsil (Gangotri), Flight Duration: 30-40 Minutes

After breakfast, check out and proceed to the Kharsali Helipad for your flight to Harsil, the closest helipad to Gangotri. Harsil, serving as the heli-base for your second Dham, is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and is a highlight of the Chardham Tour. Our team will ensure that guests are engaged in delightful sightseeing experiences.

Harsil to Gangotri Dham: The distance from Harsil Helipad to Gangotri Dham is approximately 25 kilometers, which translates to about a 50-minute drive. Upon reaching the temple, take in the sacred ambiance of Gangotri Dham. Nestled in a stunning valley, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and river. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Harsil.

Day 04: Kedarnath Dham

Harsil to Sersi/Phata/Guptkashi, Flight Duration: 30-35 Minutes

Harsil to Kedarnath Flight: Following breakfast, board a helicopter at Harsil for a flight to Sersi/Phata/Guptkashi helipad. From there, you will need to transfer to another helicopter to reach the Kedarnath Ji shrine, which takes approximately 7 to 12 minutes. Please be prepared for a waiting period of 10 minutes to 3 hours for the helicopter transfer due to shuttle scheduling (as determined by the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority), as well as potential technical or weather-related delays.

Kedarnath Ji Darshan: The Kedarnath Ji temple is located about 500 meters from the helipad. Guests will be transported to Kedarnath Dham via shuttle services, allowing approximately 2 hours for darshan before returning to the Kedarnath helipad. Our team will assist guests in reaching the temple. Accommodation will be provided in Guptkashi/Phata/Sersi, while a stay at Kedarnath Top can be arranged upon special request for an additional fee. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Guptkashi/Phata/Sersi.

Day 05: Badrinath Dham

Sersi/Phata/Guptkashi to Badrinath, Flight Duration: 40-45 Minutes

Kedarnath to Badrinath Flight: On the fifth day of your Chardham pilgrimage, depart from the Kedarnath base camp and journey towards Badrinath. During the flight, take in the breathtaking views of deep valleys and the towering peaks of the Himalayas. Arrival at Badrinath: Upon landing at the Badrinath Helipad, our staff will assist you with your transfer to the hotel, where you can savor a delightful breakfast or lunch. VIP Darshan at Badrinath: After you have settled in, proceed to the revered Badrinath Temple for a VIP Darshan of Lord Narayan, where you can witness the sacred rituals at this most venerated site. Explore Mana Village: Following your darshan, seize the chance to visit Mana Village, the first settlement on the Indian side of the Indo-Tibetan border. Explore significant sites such as Vyas Gufa (cave), Ganesh Gufa (cave), Bheem Pul (bridge), and the source of the Saraswati River, all steeped in history and mythology. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Badrinath Ji.

Day 06: Dehradun

Badrinath to Sahastradhara, Flight Duration: 55-60 Minutes.

Guests who have pre-arranged the Maha Abhishek Puja should be prepared to rise early, by 0330 hours. The Puja will be conducted from 0430 hours to 0630 hours. Following breakfast, guests will check out of the hotel and take a flight back to Dehradun. Upon arrival, our base manager will be there to greet the guests. They will then be escorted to the Dehradun hotel to retrieve their luggage from the cloakroom before being transported to the airport or railway station for their departure. Should guests wish to extend their stay in Dehradun for an additional night, accommodations can be arranged by THE AVIATION COMPANY for an extra fee. This preference should be communicated at the time of booking, indicating whether they will proceed directly to the airport or railway station or prefer to stay an extra night at the Dehradun hotel. After the final transfer, we will bid farewell to the guests, marking the conclusion of the Chardham yatra.

Terms & Conditions:

  • SEATING CAPACITY
    The helicopter accommodates a total of six passengers.
  • HELICOPTER WEIGHT LIMITATION
    The helicopter has a maximum weight limit of 450 kg, not including baggage. Passenger boarding is contingent upon weight and temperature conditions, with the pilot having the final authority. Therefore, it is essential for passengers to provide their accurate body weights during the booking process. Exceeding the helicopter’s weight capacity may lead to passengers being deboarded and the cancellation of the Heli-tour without a refund.
  • OVERWEIGHT CHARGES
    Charges for excess weight are set at INR 3000 per kilogram for passengers exceeding 75 kg. The excess weight will be calculated based on the total weight surpassing the permissible limit for the entire group, defined as 75 kg multiplied by the number of passengers. Any discrepancies in reported weights that incur additional charges will be collected before boarding.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE ON WEIGHTS
    When submitting body weights, passengers should consider providing a slightly higher figure to account for the weight of clothing and footwear.
  • ARRIVAL DATE
    For our Chardham 5N/6D Heli-tours, bookings are made according to the flying date (Day 2 of the tour). Passengers are required to arrive in Dehradun one day before their scheduled flight.
  • BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE DISCLAIMER
    Flying in mountainous regions is subject to adverse weather conditions and various Force Majeure factors, including delays in Air Traffic Clearances, VVIP movements, Indian Air Force operations (NOTAM), unexpected technical issues with the aircraft, crew illness, or late arrivals at helipads. Passengers should be prepared for potential inconveniences in such situations.
  • DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
    All Indian passengers must provide copies of their AADHAR cards, while foreign nationals are required to submit their passports.
  • PASSENGER RESPONSIBILITY
    It is the responsibility of passengers to ensure that all provided information, including weights and documentation, is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
    Passengers should be aware that any cancellations due to weight issues or failure to meet requirements will not be eligible for refunds.
  • CUSTOMER SUPPORT
    For any inquiries or assistance, passengers are encouraged to contact our customer support team prior to their travel date.
  • We recommend that our travelers allocate an additional day beyond the 5N/6D tour duration to prevent missing their return flights, should they encounter delays at any destination due to adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • ADDITIONAL SERVICES
    Services not included in our package will incur extra charges, which must be confirmed at the time of booking.
  • Accommodation at Kedarnath Top: Pilgrims can reserve accommodation at Kedarnath Top; however, the Aviation Company advises against overnight stays due to the risks of high altitude sickness and the absence of essential amenities such as hot water, heating, and medical support.

  • MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
    The Aviation Company disclaims responsibility for any medical emergencies that may arise during the trip. Therefore, we strongly recommend that passengers consult a physician and undergo a medical examination prior to starting the yatra, especially if they have pre-existing health conditions.
  • Should medical evacuation via helicopter be necessary, it will be charged at INR 200,000 per hour, in addition to UCADA royalty, landing fees, and applicable GST.
  • Passengers are encouraged to prepare adequately for potential health issues during their journey.
  • It is essential to prioritize health and safety by seeking medical advice before travel.
  • The company emphasizes the importance of being aware of altitude-related health risks.
  • Travelers should ensure they have contingency plans in place for unexpected delays.
  • All additional services and accommodations should be arranged in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
  • The Carriage by Air Act of 1972 governs the transportation of passengers and baggage, adhering to the regulations established for Non-International Carriage as outlined in the Act and relevant notifications.
  • The liability of the aviation company for any harm resulting from the death, injury, or bodily harm to a passenger or their registered baggage during air transport is determined by sections 4, 5, and 6, along with the rules specified in the Second Schedule of the Carriage by Air Act, 1972, with certain exceptions and modifications as per the Government of India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation notifications.
  • The aviation company retains the authority to deny boarding to passengers who exhibit unruly behavior, are abusive, intoxicated, ill, mentally unfit, or are otherwise deemed unsafe for flight. No refunds will be issued to such individuals.
  • Heli-Tours are not available for specific VIPs, including:
  • Speaker of the Lok Sabha
  • Deputy Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha
  • Central Ministers of Cabinet Rank
  • Chief Justice of India
  • State Governors
  • State Chief Ministers
  • State Ministers of Cabinet Rank
  • SPG Protectees classified as Z category only.
  • Rescheduling a booking for a future or past travel date is contingent upon availability and requires a payment of 10% of the total tour cost.
  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 28 days prior to the scheduled arrival date to be considered.
  • If a rescheduling request is made less than 28 days before the travel date, the booking will be treated as a cancellation.
  • A new booking can be made subject to availability, following the application of relevant cancellation fees.
  • The company emphasizes the importance of adhering to the specified timeframes for rescheduling to avoid penalties.
  • Passengers are encouraged to review the terms and conditions related to their bookings to ensure compliance with the policies outlined.

Payment Terms:

  • Payments can be made through bank transfers, cheques, cash, UPI, and card machines.
  • A reservation must be made in advance with a deposit of 50% of the total cost. The remaining balance is due 21 days before the arrival date in Dehradun.
  • Travelers will not be allowed to board or start the tour unless the total payment has been completed.
  • Transactions made using credit or debit card machines will attract an additional charge of 3.5%.
  • Payments made with American Express or foreign cards will incur an extra fee of 4.5%.
  • Cancellation Policy
  • In the event that passengers decide to cancel their reservation, the subsequent cancellation fees will apply:
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the travel date will incur a charge of 30% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations occurring between 16 to 25 days prior to the travel date will result in a fee of 50% of the total tour cost.
  • Cancellations made 15 days or less before the travel date will be subject to a 100% charge (no refund).
  • Passengers who do not show up for their scheduled tour will also face a 100% charge (no refund).
  • If the tour has already commenced, a 100% charge will apply (no refund).

FORCE MAJEURE & BAD WEATHER REFUNDS:

Basis of Refund: (This may differ among various aviation companies and is subject to change at any time by the respective airline)

  • Tour Cost: The refundable amount for each non-utilized Dham is outlined as follows:
  • Kharsali/Yamunotri: 20% of the tour cost, less INR 30,000 for flight preparation and service fees, along with any services used.
  • Jhalla/Gangotri: 25% of the tour cost, less INR 30,000 for flight preparation and service fees, along with any services used.
  • Sersi/Phata/Guptkashi/Kedarnath: 25% of the tour cost, less INR 30,000 for flight preparation and service fees, along with any services used.
  • Badrinath: 30% of the tour cost, less INR 30,000 for flight preparation and service fees, along with any services used.
  • Full tour cancellation: A complete refund minus INR 30,000 for flight preparation, hotel retention fees, and any services utilized.
  • Additional Services: Costs for any extra services availed at any Dham during the tour will be deducted from the refundable tour cost.
  • Refunds will not be issued for services that were not utilized.

National Or State Emergency:

  • In the event of a National or State emergency, refunds will not be issued.
  • Passengers will receive a Credit Voucher from The Aviation Company for the amount paid in advance.
  • This Credit Voucher will remain valid for a period of one year.
  • The voucher can be redeemed for any of our helicopter tours or charter services.
  • It is transferable and can be used by the passengers’ friends or relatives.
  • The issuance of the voucher is a measure to accommodate passengers during emergencies.
  • Passengers are encouraged to utilize the voucher within the one-year validity period.
  • The Aviation Company aims to provide flexibility in travel options during such circumstances.
  • This policy ensures that passengers retain value for their advance payments.
  • We appreciate your understanding and support during National or State emergencies.

BAD WEATHER & FORCE MAJEURE POLICIES:

  • The Aviation Company Services will not be held responsible for flight cancellations or delays caused by adverse weather conditions, technical issues, or any force majeure events beyond their control. Clients will receive refunds according to the established refund policy.
  • Any inconvenience resulting from flight cancellations is outside the operator’s control, and no compensation will be provided for additional expenses such as accommodation, transportation, meals, or other travel-related costs incurred by passengers.
  • If the tour does not commence from Dehradun on the first day due to the aforementioned reasons, it will be deemed cancelled, and a full refund will be issued in accordance with our policies.
  • Passengers wishing to reschedule their tour for the next available date may do so by making a new booking. Our team will present the available options for this purpose.
  • The remaining or unused amount from the previous booking can be applied to the new reservation, while any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the passengers.
  • Should the tour depart from Dehradun as planned but experience disruptions during the journey, our team will suggest a revised itinerary that fits within the original package duration, without extending the travel days.
  • Any requests for package extensions made by passengers will be considered only at an additional cost and contingent upon operational feasibility.
  • In the event that flights are suspended for five consecutive days, passengers will receive a full refund in line with our policies.
  • New Chardham passengers scheduled to depart from Dehradun on their designated travel dates will be prioritized over passengers from previous days who are still awaiting travel.
  • Should passengers become stranded at Kedarnath due to adverse weather conditions or Force Majeure, they will be responsible for their accommodation expenses directly.
  • Passengers who are delayed for additional nights beyond the 5N/6D period due to bad weather or Force Majeure will need to pay extra night halt charges directly to the hotels.
  • If passengers require additional helicopter flights at the conclusion of their tour, they will incur a charge of INR 200,000 per hour, along with UCADA royalty, landing fees, and GST.
  • The aviation company may refrain from flying to Harsil or Jhalla if turbulent wind conditions arise, which frequently occur in the Harsil valley after 12:00 PM.
  • If any group decides to cancel their tour midway through the journey, the aviation company will arrange transportation; however, the associated costs will be the responsibility of the passengers and must be paid directly.
  • Any increase in government fees or taxes that occurs after the booking confirmation will be an additional charge to the passengers.
  • Payment for any increased government levies or taxes must be completed prior to the start of the tour.
  • Passengers should be aware that weather conditions can significantly impact travel plans and accommodations.
  • It is advisable for passengers to stay informed about potential changes to their itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances.
