Kathmandu, the illustrious capital of Nepal, is gracefully positioned within a valley surrounded by the awe-inspiring Himalayan peaks. At the heart of this ancient city, the vibrant Durbar Square pulsates with life, especially during Indra Jatra, a colorful religious festival celebrated with mesmerizing masked dances. The city’s rich historical tapestry faced considerable destruction during the 2015 earthquake, prompting the restoration of significant landmarks, including the Hanuman Dhoka palace and the exquisite wooden Hindu temple, Kasthamandap.
Venturing beyond, Pokhara adorns the banks of Phewa Lake in central Nepal, celebrated as the gateway to the renowned Annapurna Circuit, a coveted trekking path in the Himalayas. The Tal Barahi Temple, an elegant two-story pagoda, is splendidly located on an island within the lake. Along the eastern shore, the Lakeside district is home to a variety of yoga studios and dining venues. To the south, the International Mountain Museum provides captivating insights into the history of mountaineering and the rich tapestry of cultures found in the Himalayan region.
Jomsom, also referred to as Dzongsam, serves as the hub of the Gharapjhong rural municipality in the Mustang district, standing at an elevation of approximately 2,700 meters in the Gandaki Province of western Nepal.

Nestled along the banks of the Bagmati River, this stunning two-tiered golden temple, adorned with four intricately designed silver doorways, exemplifies the unique artistry of Nepalese temple architecture. As one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in South Asia, it houses countless Shiva lingams and various shrines dedicated to Hindu deities.
Next, we will journey to Bouddhanath, the most significant Buddhist site in Nepal. This ancient and monumental stupa, towering at 36 meters, is one of the largest of its kind in the country. It is set upon a grand three-tiered mandala platform, encircled by vibrant family homes, creating a picturesque atmosphere.
