Day Wise Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

Upon your morning flight arrival in Leh, you will be escorted to your luxurious hotel. After enjoying a revitalizing welcome drink, it is advisable to take some time to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of 3,500 meters. In the late afternoon, set out on an enlightening stroll through the vibrant markets of the city, followed by a visit to the renowned Shanti Stupa and the majestic Leh Palace. End your day with a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Enchanting Day Trip to Sham Valley (65 Kms / 4 Hrs – One Way)

After a delightful breakfast, set off on a picturesque journey along the Indus River via the Leh – Kargil Highway. Your first stop will be the Hall of Fame, a museum established by the Indian Army that honors the remarkable contributions and sacrifices made by its personnel. Next, visit the Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, perched at an impressive altitude of 3600 meters, located approximately 22 kilometers from Leh, built in tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The adventure continues with a visit to the fascinating Magnetic Hill, renowned for its mysterious ability to challenge the laws of gravity. Just before reaching Nimmu Village, marvel at the breathtaking Confluence of Two Rivers, where the Indus River flows from Tibet (on the left) and the Zanskar River descends from the Zanskar Valley (on the right).

After witnessing this natural wonder, proceed to Alchi Gompa, a revered temple complex in the village that dates back to the 11th century, making it one of Ladakh’s most esteemed monasteries. Following your exploration of Alchi, return to Leh, with a stop at Likir Monastery, originally built in the 11th century and later renovated in the 18th century. This monastery is home to an impressive 25-foot gold-covered Buddha statue. Conclude your day with a return drive to Leh, where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 3: Journey from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (120 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)

After a delightful breakfast, we embark on a scenic journey to Nubra Valley. Our route takes us over the majestic Khardung La, which rises to an impressive height of 5,602 meters (18,390 feet), making it the second-highest motorable pass in the world, located about 39 kilometers from Leh. From this remarkable point, one can admire the sweeping views of the Indus Valley, with the endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range stretching out before us. To the north, the formidable Saser massif commands the horizon.

Nubra Valley, often referred to as Ldumra or the Valley of Flowers, lies in the northern part of Ladakh, nestled between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The valley’s average elevation is around 10,000 feet above sea level. Upon our arrival in Nubra, we will check in at our Camp or Hotel in Hunder for an overnight retreat. As evening falls, take a leisurely walk through the charming villages, offering a glimpse into the local lifestyle of this enchanting region. Enjoy a restful overnight stay at the Camp or Hotel.

Day 4: Journey from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (150 Kms / 5hrs)

After a delightful early breakfast, we say goodbye to our camp or hotel and set off towards Hunder. Here, you will have the extraordinary chance to ride a Bactrian camel (with its distinctive double humps) across the enchanting sand dunes of this high-altitude desert, framed by majestic snow-capped mountains in the distance. On our way back, we will pause at Diskit, the heart of Nubra Valley, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the local bazaar, immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere and observing the daily lives of the residents.

Next, we embark on our drive to Pangong Tso, traversing the scenic Agham and Shyok Valley. Prepare for some challenging road conditions, especially on the Nubra side, but rest assured, the breathtaking views will make the journey worthwhile. After navigating this adventurous stretch, we will continue towards Durbuk and Tangtse, passing through charming villages in the Changthang region. Suddenly, the stunning Pangong Lake will reveal itself, perched at an impressive altitude of 14,000 feet (4,267 meters). Upon arrival, check in at our Camp or Hotel near the lake, where you can enjoy dinner and unwind for the night.

Day 5: Journey from Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La (140 Kms / 6hrs)

Begin your day with a relaxed morning, soaking in the stunning vistas of Pangong Lake. Following this serene experience, embark on your return journey to Leh, traversing the majestic Changla Pass, which stands at an impressive altitude of 5486 meters. Along the way, make a stop at Hemis Gompa, the largest monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Next, visit Thiksey, a remarkable monastery that gracefully ascends the hillside above the village. A further 5 kilometers through enchanting scenery will bring you to Shey Palace, the historic capital of Ladakh and the site of the renowned 3 Idiots Rancho School. Continue your drive to Leh, where a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay at the hotel await you.

Day 6: Farewell from Leh

Following a delightful breakfast, you will check out and make your way to the airport.   • Check-in and check-out at all properties is set for 1200 hours (Noon).
  • We will not cover any expenses related to flight cancellations or delays caused by adverse weather or airline issues. Passengers are responsible for their own accommodation and transport costs in such situations.
  • There will be no refunds for roadblocks at Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, or Tsomoriri Lake due to natural disasters. Passengers must directly cover the costs of alternative accommodation in Leh.
  • No refunds or compensation will be provided for any unused services or transportation under any circumstances.
  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
  • Once a travel date is booked, no changes can be made.
  • Room assignments will depend on availability at check-in; specific floor or view requests cannot be guaranteed.
  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking confirmation, with the remaining 75% due 15 days before arrival.
  • Room reservations will be held for a maximum of 10 days.
  • If accommodations at the specified hotels are unavailable, we will arrange alternative lodging at a comparable or superior hotel, with any rate differences communicated to you.
  • It is essential to carry a photo identification during your travels, which must be presented at check-in in all hotels for security purposes.
  • Cancellation Policy:
  • For cancellations made 45 days or more before departure, a fee of 25% of the tour cost will apply.
  • Cancellations made between 44 and 31 days prior to departure incur a charge of 40% of the tour cost.
  • If cancellation occurs between 30 and 15 days before departure, 50% of the tour cost will be retained.
  • For cancellations made between 14 and 8 days before departure, a fee of 75% will be charged.
  • Cancellations within 7 days or in the event of a no-show will result in a 100% charge.
  • No cancellation fees will be applied if any traveler tests positive for COVID-19 within 72 hours before departure, provided a QR code is presented.
  • A COVID-19 positive report dated within 72 hours prior to departure must be submitted as proof of illness.
  • The total amount can be converted into a credit note valid for 12 months.
  • Important Note:
  • During peak season, SUVs can accommodate a maximum of 5 passengers per vehicle. Should this limit be exceeded, additional SUVs will be arranged at an extra cost to the client.
  • There is often a shortage of Tempo Travelers during peak season. Even with pre-booking, the Tempo union allocates vehicles only one day before arrival. If a Tempo Traveler is unavailable, SUVs will be provided, and any additional costs will be the responsibility of the guest.
