Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted by our dedicated team and escorted to your luxurious hotel. Nestled in a vast valley at the foothills of the majestic Himalayan Range, Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, showcases a captivating fusion of Hindu and Buddhist artistry and architecture. Enjoy a restful night at your hotel.
Day 02: Exploring Kathmandu
Begin your morning with a visit to the revered Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred sites among Hindu temples. Nestled along the banks of the Bagmati River, this stunning two-tiered golden temple, adorned with four intricately designed silver doorways, exemplifies the unique artistry of Nepalese temple architecture. As one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in South Asia, it houses countless Shiva lingams and various shrines dedicated to Hindu deities.
Next, we will journey to Bouddhanath, the most significant Buddhist site in Nepal. This ancient and monumental stupa, towering at approximately 36 meters, is one of the largest of its kind in the country. It is set upon an expansive three-tiered mandala platform, encircled by vibrant family homes.
In the afternoon, we will continue our exploration with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath. The Kathmandu Durbar Square, known locally as Hanuman Dhoka Palace Square, lies at the city’s core and was once the royal seat of Nepalese royalty. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex features a grand royal square filled with a remarkable array of temples dedicated to various Hindu gods and goddesses, with most structures dating back to the 15th to 18th centuries. Our next stop is Swayambhunath, perched on a charming hillock. This magnificent stupa, believed to have been constructed around 250 B.C., offers breathtaking views of the Kathmandu Valley and the stunning panorama of the northeastern Himalayan range. Enjoy an overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Nagarkot (32 km, approximately 1.5 hours drive)
Today, we embark on a scenic drive to Nagarkot, a renowned tourist haven in Nepal. Nestled 32 kilometers to the east of Kathmandu, this charming destination sits at an elevation of 2,175 meters above sea level. From Nagarkot, one can marvel at the breathtaking vistas of the prominent peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalaya, including the majestic Sagarmatha (Mount Everest).
You will have the day at your leisure in Nagarkot to soak in the stunning Himalayan panorama and witness a captivating sunset. Overnight accommodations will be provided at a luxurious hotel.
