In the morning, we will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, revered as one of the most sacred sites among Hindu temples. Nestled along the banks of the Bagmati River, this stunning two-tiered golden temple features four intricately designed silver doorways, showcasing a remarkable example of Nepalese temple architecture. As one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in South Asia, it houses hundreds of Shiva lingams and various shrines dedicated to Hindu deities. Next, we will head to Bouddhanath, the most significant Buddhist site in Nepal. This ancient and monumental stupa, towering at 36 meters, is one of the largest in the country and is set on expansive three-tiered mandala-style platforms, surrounded by vibrant family homes.
In the afternoon, we will continue our sightseeing at Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex features a grand royal square adorned with a diverse array of temples dedicated to various Hindu gods and goddesses, with most structures dating back to the 15th to 18th centuries. Our journey will then take us to Swayambhunath, perched on a charming hillock. We will spend the night at the hotel.
